So glad you posted this, because I've been wondering what to do with a couple of cans of cream of mushroom/chicken soup I have in my pantry. I know people use them in casseroles, but I just had NO idea what kind of casserole to throw it in. This looks delicious! Do you think it would turn out okay with cooked jasmine rice? I think that's all we have, ha! What if I use one cream of mushroom and one chicken? Would that be gross? :)
ReplyDeleteMy friend actually uses one can of each, and loves it. I just don't like mushroom so I make it the way I like it. I just use minute rice because it cooks better. But if you are using cooked rice it should be fine.
DeleteAlso if you have more Cream of Chicken you need to use. Check back tomorrow when I post my Chicken Enchiladas! They are SO GOOD and use two cans!
DeleteSweet! So glad to hear my crazy idea tastes good, haha :) Chicken enchiladas sound awesome. I usually make one of Pioneer Woman's recipes or a mix of that and the chili gravy that Homesick Texan has on her blog (amazing, btw). I'll definitely check it out tomorrow, because chicken enchiladas never fail in my house, haha :)
DeleteSuper simple. I wonder how this would come out if you used yellow rice? I'll have to check it out and get back to you. Now following you through Facebook :)
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! I am not sure about yellow rice but I would imagine if you used a little extra water it should be fine!
DeleteI found you via the Homework blog...and I am now cooking this dish! I knew I wanted chicken tonight but didn't know what. You're right; I had all the ingredients on hand. Thanks!!
ReplyDeleteI am so glad! I hope it was delicious!
DeletePinned this one to try soon! My family eats a lot of chicken so this is a keeper :) Thanks for sharing!
