I am LDS and I am an Activity Days Leader (group of 8-12 year old girls). Here is what I did for one of our recent activities.
We had a treasure hunt. These scripture candies were the treasure the girls found. I got the idea for these off Pinterest from here. I just used black scrapbook paper on the bottom, candy treasures, and regular computer paper on top with a scripture written on it. I put it all together with double sided tape.
On Sugardoodle.net I found a lesson called the Ultimate Treasure. It even has a treasure map you can download and use.
The map was our starting clue. The lesson on Sugardoodle is a family home evening lesson and it has other clues. Similar to this one but they were more places in the home, so I made my own that were places in the church. Here are the other clues:
(Window. This clue was hidden in the window of the room we started in.)
(Bible. This clue was hidden in a Bible in the Young Women's Room.)
(Book of Mormon. This clue was hidden in a Book of Mormon in the Relief Society Room.)
(Tithes. This clue was hidden with the Tithing Slips.)
(Food. This clue was hidden in the Kitchen.)
(Jesus Christ. This clue was hidden on a portrait of Jesus.)
(Door. This clue was hidden on the door in the Nursery.)
(Mothers.)
The treasure was hidden in the Mothers room.
