Last summer my sister-in-law sent me a link to a picture on Pinterest, a website I had never heard of at the time. Boy did that change the way I waste time online! The picture was of some kids each holding a letter of the word LOVE and with it she said, "Maybe we could do this for your Mom for Christmas." It worked perfect because my Mom only has four grandkids so far.
Since we have toddlers, I knew once they got the paper with their letter in their hands they would wrinkle it. So I went to the dollar store and got a document size frame. I printed off the letters in Red. I thought it would be cool to have the pictures in Black and White with the letters in red. It looked good but not as much as I had hoped, because we took each child's photo in a different spot so the lighting was different making the letters look different shades of red. But still cute.
My sister-in-law was the one who suggested we take their photos in different places that the kids like to play at Grandma's house. She is so brilliant! I LOVED that idea!
Here are the photos I took of the kids with their letters:
I know. I have the CUTEST nieces and nephew in the world!

DeleteSo cute. What a fun idea. My oldest had each of our three hold up a sign with the words Happy Mom's Day and then put the three photos in a blog post for me since my babies are now out of the house or in college. It was so special. Your mom had to love this. Thanks for sharing on BeColorful this week.

So glad to know I inspired someone! Thank you for hosting and stopping by!
DeleteThat turned out adorable! I recently did something similar with my son for my Mom. He has special needs and always crumples the paper too so this time I just gave him blank cardstock then I wrote the words in my photo editing program in a handwriting font. Totally fooled my Momma. She had no idea till I told her. :)
ReplyDeleteThat is awesome. i thought about doing that also but decided i would just print off the letters. Thank you so much for stopping by.
