Did you see the photo covered magnet board I made for my sister? That was like 4 years ago.
Well I actually originally bought an unfinished mirror from Michael's to put photos around, but then I decided to do a magnet board instead. I have been de-junking a little bit and the other day I came across the unfinished mirror that has been moved from place to place. I figured it was time to do something with it. This is what I came up with...
I looked up some brands online, picked the ones I liked, and then drew them onto the mirror with a pencil. My husband saw me doing it, and thought it was kind of cool. When I told him I was going to use the wood-burner to draw them on. He offered to do that part. And of course I was MORE THAN WILLING to let him!
After he was done I just stained it with Early American Minwax Stain.
PS. One of the brands is ours...can you guess which one?

ReplyDeleteI've been doing some wood burning too. I like how you used stain. I burn, paint and then go back in a re-burn. Too much work. Such a great vintage western look. Thanks for sharing on BeColorful.
